  • Pastor Alan & Tera Didio

    Senior Pastor

    Alan DiDio was born and raised in the piedmont of North Carolina.  He aspired to be an actor and directed his efforts toward the dramatic arts.  Considering himself an atheist, he had no interest in Christianity or any other religion.  Once he received Jesus Christ as his savior, he was called by God to attend World Harvest Bible College in Columbus, Ohio under the leadership of Pastor Rod Parsley.  On a cold December day he left North Carolina for a season of seven years.  Alan and his lovely wife Tera married while attending Bible College and later worked in various departments within that worldwide ministry. 

    The DiDio’s have returned to North Carolina where they pastor Encounter Ministries as well as serve as a Regional Director for The World Harvest Ministerial Alliance.  Pastor Alan has traveled around the world sharing the message of God’s love expressed through His Son, Jesus.  Alan and Tera have two children, Evan and Alanna.  The DiDio’s enjoy movies, reading and travel.  They have three dogs, Sadie, Luca and Mia.

    Larry & Glenda Wilkins

    Elders

    Elder Larry and Glenda Wilkins have been with ECC from the very beginning. They met and married while they lived in Columbus, Ohio. They attended World Harvest Bible College and then continued to work in ministry at World Harvest Church for several more years after graduation. They have 3 children: Ethan, Isabella and Judah. Cooper, their Golden Retriever, thinks he is kid #4.
    Larry was born and raised in Southwest Michigan. His involvement encompasses many areas of ECC including platform ministry, graphics design, one-on-one counseling, and events planning. He enjoys spending time with his family. Larry says, “Nothing brings me more satisfaction than to watch my children grow and make that transition from being babies to being ‘real people’ with their own personalities and giftings. I can’t wait to see what God will do with the arrows He’s given us.”

    Before she moved to Columbus, Glenda lived with her family in Ft. Worth, TX. After attending WHBC, she worked in the International Prayer Center at World Harvest Church. Glenda has an unassuming exterior but God has given her a powerful ministry gift, which is easily recognized whenever she has the opportunity to preach or pray. She is a loving wife and mother, staying home to raise and home school her three children. Her husband says, “She’s awesome!”

    Steve & Gwen Jones

    Elders
    Elder Steve Jones was a professional musician at the age of sixteen years old working in the studio, live performance and production.  While on tour, Steve gave his life to Jesus Christ alone in a motel room.  From that day forward, life for Steve has been forever changed.  Today, he ministers in music under the direction and authority of Pastor Alan DiDio.  He is an accomplished musician, singer, writer and media producer.

    Gwen, his wife, holds a BS in Business Administration from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte.  She has worked in numerous business venues from the private sector to local government.  Receiving Jesus as her savior, Gwen endeavors to serve God in various areas of the ministry.  Steve and Gwen are ordained and licensed ministers under the authority of Pastor Alan DiDio of Encounter Christ Church.  They enjoy the arts, music, writing, time with their children and pets.  They also enjoy traveling.
